About the Founder

Evangeline (Evie) Pabalan, Founder / President

Hi! I’m Evie Pabalan, the founder of Chords for Change. I began performing in musical theater at a young age and spent years developing my skills as a singer and actress. While connecting with audiences through art has always been central to my work, I eventually realized when I was older that I wanted music to create impact beyond the stage. This is how our organization, Chords for Change, came to be.

At 16 years old, I founded Chords for Change, a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to using musical performance as a catalyst for social change. Our mission is to empower local artists to use their talents for the greater good of giving back to their communities. As the founder, I oversee event planning, artist collaboration, and partnerships with community organizations to ensure each initiative is intentional and impactful.

Through Chords for Change, I’ve learned that music can do far more than entertain. When we use our voices to uplift others, every note and every song played is a step towards building a more compassionate and engaged community.

As the saying goes, the only way to find your voice is to use it. It is my hope that Chords for Change inspires you to turn your passion into action.
